With all the commercial construction doom and gloom in the national media, Zion Crossroads, Virginia continues to buck the trend! Adjacent to the Shops at Spring Creek and in front of Lowe’s and Wal-Mart, we’ve got Sheetz (scheduled to open Spring of 2012) and what appears to be an Arby’s Restaurant under construction.

Went back by the Zion Crossroads Sheetz on 2/25/2012 where progress continues. Perhaps with the growth in the area Cracker Barrel will also build. As a Central Virginia native (Born in Charlottesville and raised in Albemarle and Louisa Counties), James' youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organizations centered around school, church and the Boy Scouts of America. A graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management, James' non-real estate activities include spending time with family & friends, traveling, stalking deer & spring gobblers, fly fishing, church and Masonic activities. James and his lovely bride Karen live between Zion Crossroads and Gordonsville in the Green Springs area of Louisa County. Since 2022 Jim has served on the Louisa County Planning Commission. Their dog Sammy passed away so now they dog sit for friends and family.
We have always wanted a Cracker Barrel on Zions Crossroads. It would definitly be an advantage for them to start building. We would also like a Sonic’s Drive-through, Hardie’s would be welcome and a clothing retailer as well to bring more people here.

Great post! Another exciting development at Zion Crossroads is a new car wash. It’s tentatively scheduled to open mid-December. I think an Olive Garden would give people a nice place to eat, considering they don’t even have one in Charlottesville. We have enough fast food places around. I’m tired of traveling to go somewhere nice to eat.
