Heading down the back roads to ski in Virginia
Our grandson’s (Evan’s 5 and Mason’s 2) are heading to Wintergreen in Nelson County, Virginia this weekend with their other Grandfather on a ski trip. They love skiing! Hopefully, I’ll get some new photos to post. For the all of us in Central Virginia, the slopes open this Friday and they are making snow! Temperatures at our house this morning hit a low of 12* so there should be plenty of snow on the mountain. If you’re looking for other outdoor activities, try Massanutten in Rockingham County for skiing, snowboarding and other fun indoor activities like the water park. Last winter we had neighbors cross country skiing to get around Zion Crossroads. Hopefully, we will not have that much snow this winter!
