Support Your Local Farmers
Karen and I love to visit the various farmer’s markets and farm stands in Virginia. Our local markets in Louisa, Mineral, Orange, Fluvanna, Scottsville and Charlottesville have opened with spring produce for sale. Other favorites include Carter’s Mountain Orchard, Chiles Peach (Strawberry!!!) Orchard, the Blacksburg Farmers Market. For local Black Angus Beef we love the ground beef, steaks and roasts from Rob Harrison at Foods for Thought, Inc. Rob even lets us bring the grandchildren to see the calves!
