Travel over the mountains to the Maple Festival
The 54th annual Highland County, Virginia Maple Festival kicks off this weekend (3/10 & 11/2012) and continues next weekend (3/17 & 18/2012). If you’ve never traveled west over the mountains to the Maple Festival, you need to go and experience this fun family friendly event. From visiting the camps where maple sap becomes maple syrup, to enjoying homemade maple donuts to eating buckwheat pancakes & trout, the festival provides lots of fun activities.
