Central Virginia has many great lakes and reservoirs with public access for fishing. In late fall, winter and spring, I like to head to the Blue Ridge Mountains with a fly rod to fish for trout. Most of the time we practice catch and release especially with the natives. It is nice to bring home an occasional trout to smoke with apple wood from a local orchard! Make the time to get out and fish some of Central Virginia’s streams, ponds and lakes!
