Entering the Valley of Virginia
Passing through Swift Run Gap the week, I enjoyed seeing the changing colors along the Blue Ridge Mountains. This weekend would be a great weekend for a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway or Skyline Drive. Take some time to read the historical markers and learn about the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe and other interesting historical events. Imagine what it would have been like to be with Governor Spotswood seeing the Shenandoah Valley for the first time! While traveling along the Parkway or Drive visit Skyland or the Humpback Rocks visitors center. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Central Virginia so get out and enjoy!
