The Fluvanna County Public Library just west of Palmyra, Virginia holds its book sale starting Thursday 11/2 running through bargain day on Sunday 11/6. Since we’re big book lovers, we plan to attend and stock up on some winter reading material.
Central Virginia Remains Horse Country
For horse lovers, the Montpelier Fall Hunt Races will be held on Saturday 11/5 at the Montpelier the home of James and Dolly Madison. This should be a beautiful day to travel to Orange County, Virginia and enjoy an afternoon of horse races over a flat course and fences. You can always stop by Stonefire Station in Barboursville, Virginia on the way to pick up delicious food and beverage items for your picnic basket or tailgate.
