Visit Louisa for the Air Show
Gates open Saturday, September 1st at Freeman Field 11:00 AM for the airshow. Most of the show is free but there are fees for plane rides etc. Travel to the airfield just east of the Town of Louisa and enjoy the show!
Visit a local vineyard, winery or brewery!
It’s a great weekend to get out and visit Central Virginia wineries. Perhaps you have a favorite you like to visit or want to get out and discover a new winery. Cooper Vineyards/Winery remains one of our favorites. Additionally this Saturday and Sunday you can relax to live music!

Since we’ve got some new babies in the family, we need to make a trip to E. A. Clore Sons, Inc. in Madison County, Virginia to pick up some handmade children’s rocking chairs (It’s become a tradition to give the children their own rocking chair. Mine’s over 50 years old and still gets used by visitors.). They’re having a sale through September 8th, so we might go on Saturday and stop by the Taste of the Mountain Festival as well. If you haven’t been to Clore’s, check it out!
Take a Farm Tour & See Where Your Food Comes From
On Monday take the 4th annual Meet Your Eats Farm Tour. From 10 AM to 4 PM tour one, some or all 21 of the Central Virginia host farms that will be open. See you at the farm!
