With the American Civil War Sesquicentennial event under way, many people travel to Virginia to participate.   Since many events occur in Central Virginia, participation remains easy for us.  Join The Louisa County Historical Society Saturday, January 14th from 10 AM to Noon for a showing of “American Military Strategy & the Civil War: An Overview”.  Afterwards visit Obrigado or Floozies Pie Shop for lunch!

Visit a National Park this weekend!

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.‘s birthday, the National Park Service waves admission to all 397 National Parks January 14-16, 2012.  So get out and visit a National Park this weekend!  We’re going to the Shenandoah National Park.  Which park would you like to visit?
