Recently VA Home Pics, my real estate photographers, started offering areal photos using a quadcopter.  This week we took photos of a 35+/- acre Prince Edward County, Virginia farm.

I like the perspective gained from areal photography.

The quad copter worked well on a windy day providing additional photos of the farm.

If you closely between the trucks and storage buildings, you can see Chris working the quad copter controls.  We were able to view the photos on the ground as they were being taken in the air.  Pretty cool!

The areal photos give a good representation of pasture, timber, fences, streams, building location, etc. to prospective purchasers before visiting the property.

The cattle were unaffected as the quad copter hovered 150 meters above.  I always try to leave gates the way I find them and not disturb livestock on farms.  I’m glad the cattle didn’t notice the quad copter and begin running!
