Fun times at the Montpelier Wine Festival
Spring of 2011 has arrived in Central Virginia and so has Festival Season. The Montpelier Wine Festival remains one of my favorite festivals of the year. With James and Dolly Madison’s Montpelier serving as a back drop, you would be hard pressed to find a prettier spot for a wine festival. The two day event will help May 7th and 8th this year. In addition to tasting Virginia wine, the festival includes activities for all ages (in the past kite flying, Revolutionary War rein-actors, music, food vendors & crafters were featured). We like to take blankets and spread out under the trees to relax and listen to the music. From there we can watch the crowd, venture out to taste wine or tour the venders. If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, head out to the Montpelier Wine Festival in Orange County, Virginia! Should you attend, don’t forget to support the the world famous ACCA Shrine Mini Patrol helping with the parking. The Shriners do great work for children with orthopedic challenges and burn victims through Shrine hospitals.
