When buying a home or farm, please get a home inspection from a reputable home inspector. You will learn how to live with the property as well as identify defects. Often learning how to live with the property ( the water supply cut off location for example), proves better information than identifying defects (although sometime we locate some BIG defects!). Also, getting a report to reference when future questions or challenges arise should be mandatory. The report can be a hard copy or e-mailed.
